Is transcreation better than translation?

Transcreation and translation are different services whose goals are different. Translation aims to convey the message of the source-language text while remaining faithful to its form. In contrast, transcreation is primarily concerned with conveying the message of the source-language text, irrespective of its form in the target language. That’s why it is generally characterized as “creative translation”.
