Is there any difference between voice-over and dubbing?

Very often, voice-over and dubbing are used interchangeably. That is wrong. Dubbing is a different kind of service entailing the replacement of the sound in the source language audio-visual material with sound in the target language. It is mainly used in cinema and television.
